The 2019 MBP's have had no known reported issues of keyboard failure, but the good thing is that Apple has a 4 year repair program in place just in case you experience issues.

The current MacBook Pro and MacBook Air both boast the third-generation version of the butterfly keyboard, which is equipped with an elastic membrane designed to mitigate any dust-derived damage.
Even with the bugs ironed out some just don't care for the low travel of the butterfly keyboard. I didn't necessarily have an issue with mine but once I upgraded to the 16' with the magic keyboard I've really preferred it to the butterfly.
If you want to buy the current MacBook Pro with the butterfly I'm sure you'll have success with the keyboard. If you're not in a hurry to get a new Mac then in a couple of months Apple may be releasing the new 13/14' MacBook Pro.
